15 CMMU students from Thailand, China, and Myanmar joined our study trip to Germany as part of the “International Business” course. We had a fantastic time in Munich, learning from company visits, university seminars, and interaction with local students. We visited our partner university TUM (Technical University of Munich) and participated in a seminar together with TUM students – discussing an intercultural case study and sharing ideas among students from China, Germany, Myanmar, Thailand, and Turkey.
Thanks to PD Dr. Theresa Treffers at TUM for inviting us to her seminar. We also joined a seminar on “Managing for Sustainability” with Marcus Thies, who shared important sustainability insights with us and engaged us with a simulation game. Great insights, thank you, Marcus! 3 exciting company visits to the headquarters of BMW and Allianz Insurance, as well as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Munich, gave us opportunities to learn from leaders about best practices in 3 different industries. Big thanks to Katharina Berchtold and Robert Frank from MOH, Nasir Mehrzad Balach from Allianz, and Krisda Utamote from BMW – we got great insights from our visits. Our CMMU study trip provided a great combination of practical learning, international experience, and multicultural team collaboration.
