CMMU is now AACSB accredited. Our programs are now globally accepted as being among the world’s best. There are an estimate of approximately 17,000 institutions that teach business management education around the world. Of those, less than 5% of the institutions are accredited by the AACSB International, and CMMU is among the world’s top 5%!

On July 17, 2019, the AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee (IAC) met in Tampa, Florida, USA and concurred with the recommendation from the Peer Review Team (PRT) who visited and evaluated the College in June 2019. The IAC granted the AACSB accreditation to CMMU and its academic programs.

This is such a monumental accomplishment in the College’s history, said CMMU Dean, Dr. Duangporn Arbhasil: "CMMU is extremely pleased and honored to be internationally recognized among the world's top business schools by AACSB International, the most established and respected accreditation institution in business education globally. With years of aligning the college in order to meet the highest standards in business education, having achieved AACSB accreditation is a testament to the dedicated effort of our management, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders to improve the quality and enhance the academic reputation of our college so we can provide the best possible business education to our students."

This historical achievement is good not only for the College, but also the society as a whole. “To be in the same group with top business schools in the world is just amazing, and we would like to thank everyone involved in making this happen,” said Dr. Kriengkrai Tankoonsombut, Assistant Dean of Accreditation and QA. “It is really good for the students, the College, the University, and the society at large. This shows that we have high-quality business schools in Thailand, as recognized by the AACSB International. All these great business schools—CMMU included—will help to ensure that students who attend business schools in Thailand receive high-quality business education, as recognized by the international community worldwide.”

Formal awarding of the AACSB accreditation is done annually, and CMMU will be joining the forthcoming awarding ceremony to be held at the International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM) between April 26–28, 2020 in Denver, Colorado, USA. Each accreditation is good for a period of 5 years; after which, CMMU will be re-evaluated by the next Peer Review Team. Everyone involved needs to continually maintain the quality of the College and its programs to be consistent with the AACSB standards in order to maintain this prestigious international accreditation in the years to come … and beyond.

Founded in the US, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is a global organization devoted to the advancement of management education. The AACSB provides internationally recognized accreditation for business management programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. With over 100 years of existence, it is currently the most well-known and respected business accreditation institution in the world.

There are an estimate of approximately 17,000 institutions that teach business management education around the world. Of those, less than 5% of the institutions are accredited by the AACSB. For institutions outside of the North America, less than 2% of the institutions that teach business management education in other parts of the world are accredited by the AACSB.
