The College also improved general services including erecting a sign display in front of the
building, changing the reception service to improve the international image of the College and
introducing radio communication for housekeeping staff to aid the provision of swifter service.
Every year, CMMU provides all stakeholders with safety training in case of fire. On 23 September,

2011 training was given for faculty, staff, students, and officers working in the building on basic fire
fighting and evacuation drills. The 15 fire hoses and 42 fire extinguishers in the building are tested
on a monthly basis.
Quality Assurance and Accreditation
The 1999 National Education Act, in the framework of the 2002 Amendment, stipulated that an
educational institution should have a quality assurance system. In 2004, Mahidol University
launched the internal quality assurance. The basic concept of MU Quality Assurance (QA)
emphasizes quality standards as a framework of self-assessment and involves feedback from a
faculty survey. The Mahidol University QA system had been developed continuously in line with
the University’s mission. The QA assessment relies on scores attained on processes assessment by
emphasizing the Deming quality circle P-D-C-A (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to attain Continuous Quality
Improvement (CQI) combined with relevant benchmarking.

The College of Management has continued the MU Quality Assurance into the 3 Phase of the
4 th year. During the year the MU Quality Assurance stressed CMMU’s quality development for
international excellence according to the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx).
Based on Quality Assurance procedures, CMMU conducted a Self Assessment Report (SAR), and
received a visit from a QA inspection team. The QA survey committee visited CMMU on January

13 -14 , 2011 and submitted the survey report to the College for further developments.
