Information and Communications Technology (ICT)

CMMU emphasizes the provision of Information Technology (IT) services to students and faculty in
respect of education, research, academic services, and general administration. In 2011 CMMU
restructured the ICT Department and improved the scope of services to be more appropriate and
effective. The duties and responsibilities of IT staff were properly allocated, and the development
of an action plan increased the effectiveness of IT service provision. The current scope of IT
services includes basic IT provision, a computer network and software application as well as
development activities for IT knowledge for general administration.

During the year, CMMU purchased computers, devices and audio-visual equipment to facilitate
teaching and learning and general operations in the College. Purchases included personal
computers and colour printers, a server and IT switch, LCD monitors, projectors, and VDO
          cameras.

In addition to computer devices and audiovisual aids, CMMU developed software programs to
increase the effectiveness of management education as follows:

Improvement of the student registration database by applying “Oracle Version 11”
Changes in the application procedures to “Online Application”
Development of an E-learning system by using “Moodle Version 2.1”
Installation of video-streaming for live broadcast on-demand for undergraduate study
and some classes in postgraduate study
Improvement of Set-smart database by adding the database of The Thailand Futures
               Exchange (TFEX)
Development of library search system for Thesis and Independent Study
Application of SMS for disseminating news to students
