                  On 19    August, 2011 the library held a seminar to disseminate knowledge on library management
                  with the title “Strategic Marketing 3.0 for Library Management”.  This is a new method of managing
                  library services.  The strategy helps to provide an operating plan and gives an immediate
                  proactive information service to meet clients’ needs.  It also develops creativity to add more
                  value to library services.  Invited experts gave lectures on different topics such as an introduction
                  of Open Sources. This is very new in Thailand but has been used in other ASEAN countries. An
                  introduction to Electronic Information for Libraries in Thailand (EIFL) gives assistance and
                  coordinate with libraries in developing countries.


                  On this occasion, CMMU invited the following representatives of the National University of Laos to
                  join the seminar:
                         1. Mr. Chansy Phuangsouketh  Director of the Central Library, National University of Laos
                         2. Mrs. Sisavanh Singvongsa  Head of Academic Services and Information Technology
                         3. Mr. Somphone Bounmy       Head of Administration
