CMMU Strengthening Global Academic Ties: Executive Delegation Visits Chongqing University of Technology
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the College of Management, Mahidol University (CMMU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prattana Punnakitikashem, Dean of CMMU, together with the College’s management team, participated in the Global Academic Collaboration Roundtable at Chongqing University of Technology (CQUT), Chongqing, People’s Republic of China. The visit aimed to exchange perspectives on international management education and explore potential areas of academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The CMMU delegation included Asst. Prof. Dr. Trin Tanunusak, Deputy Dean for Research; Asst. Prof. Dr. Suthep Nimsai, Deputy Dean for Academic and Academic Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Parisa Rungruang, Deputy Dean for Administration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Astrid Kainzbauer, Assistant Dean of Internationalization; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nattavud Pimpa, Assistant Dean for Sustainability Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suparak Suriyankietkaew, Assistant Dean for Business Community and Relations; Asst. Prof. Dr. Triyuth Promsiri, Assistant Dean for Academic, Innovation, and Lifelong Learning; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapas Tharavanij, Head of the Finance Program; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonying Kongarchapatara, Head of the Business Management Program.
During the visit, the CMMU management team received a warm welcome from Professor Li Wei, Dean of the MBA School, CQUT. The roundtable discussion was also joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruilin Zhu, Director of PhD Studies, Management Science Department, Lancaster Universit, IÉSEG School of Management. Both parties engaged in constructive discussions on future academic collaboration, including faculty and student exchanges, teaching and research collaboration, and potential opportunities to develop academic programs or learning pathways, such as Double Degree programs. These initiatives aim to provide meaningful international learning experiences for master’s degree students and strengthen academic ties between CMMU and CQUT.
During the visit, the CMMU management team also visited key facilities at CQUT, including the National Modern Industry College for New Energy Vehicles and the CQUT University History Museum, gaining valuable insights into CQUT’s strengths in innovation, new energy vehicles, and future technologies.
