CMMU MDMM Team Wins Global Recognition at Mahidol x Harvard Hackathon 2026

💙 The College of Management extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to our MDMM students (Dual Degree program: Master of Management: Healthcare and Wellness Management specialization and Doctor of Medicine: Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital) 🎉👏 on winning Second Runner-Up at the Mahidol x Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon 2026 🏆, held on 3–4 April 2026.

The team (Emily in Boston) has also been selected to represent Thailand among the Top 50 international finalist teams 🌍✨ with their project, “Emily-SOS: Seamless Emergency Response.”

The project presents an integrated emergency care innovation that addresses the healthcare system from upstream to downstream through the following key components:
  • End-to-end integration of the Call–Dispatch–Delivery process to reduce delays and improve coordination across the emergency response system
  • One-tap SOS combined with AI-assisted triage to assess patient severity in real time and reduce human bottlenecks
  • Development of the Emily AI algorithm to optimize EMS unit allocation, reduce ambulance swarm, and enhance overall system efficiency
  • Real-time hospital matching
  • to ensure patients are transferred to the most appropriate hospital within the shortest possible time
  • Pre-arrival transmission of patient information and vital signs to enable medical teams to prepare timely and effective treatment in advance
