Shaping Global Health Innovators: CMMU Faculty Mentors at Mahidol x Harvard Hackathon 2026

Asst. Prof. Dr. Trin Thananusak, Deputy Dean for Research and Program Chair of the Healthcare and Wellness Management Program, was honored to serve as a Business Plan Mentor for the Mahidol x Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon 2026. Held on April 3–4, 2026, at the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University (Phayathai), this prestigious event was a collaborative initiative between Mahidol University and Harvard University.

The project offered boundless opportunities for creative minds, transcending professional boundaries—participants did not need to be medical professionals to join.
  • Diverse Age Range: Open to applicants aged 15 to 85 years old.
  • Flexible Participation: Candidates could apply as individuals or in teams of up to 6 members.
  • A Challenging Mandate: The competition focused on generating fresh ideas to solve health system challenges. It encouraged the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a core driver in any dimension, limited only by the participants' imagination and expertise.
Teams with outstanding performance and the winning titles were awarded life-changing opportunities that serve as a "Fast Track" to international recognition:
  • A Journey to Harvard University: To exchange experiences and gain world-class academic insights.
  • Pitching to Global Venture Capitals: A rare opportunity to present business plans directly to international investors. This serves as a vital launchpad for students and entrepreneurs looking to establish themselves as global healthcare startups.
By sharing his expertise as a mentor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Trin Thananusak played a crucial role in shaping the next generation of innovators and strengthening the international collaborative network for health system transformation.
