Mahidol University Ph.D. Student Scholarships

CMMU is currently recruiting qualified applicants for 3 full Mahidol University Ph.D. Student Scholarships. The scholarship amounts to 900,000 baht in total, available for both Thai and international applicants.

For the 3 MU Ph.D. scholarships, we are recruiting students specifically in these areas of study:

Scholarship Applicant Qualifications

  • Master's degree with a GPA of at least 3.5
  • IELTS (Academic Module) score of at least 6.5, or TOEFL iBT score of at least 90.
    The English test score should be recent (not more than 2 years ago).
  • Preferable less than 40 years old.

Note: for the MU scholarship, we currently have an opening in the area of Educational Management, to work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Philip Hallinger, an internationally recognized top scholar in educational leadership and change.

CMMU Ph.D. Program Scholarship.

The CMMU Ph.D. program is now offering one full scholarship per year. The scholarship is for highly qualified applicants who intend to study full-time. Applicants for the scholarships must either have a Bachelor Degree with first class honor, or a Master Degree with GPA ≥ 3.50 (3.25 for Business Schools on the Financial Times Top 100). The scholarship is also open for all international applicants

Scholarship Requirements

The three main requirements for receiving the scholarship are:
  • Exhibit evidence of strong aptitude, satisfying the GPA requirement above, have a TOEFL score of 575 or higher, and a score of 60 or higher on the CMMU Ph.D. Program Analytical Entrance Exam;
  • Available to study full-time (1st year) in the CMMU Ph.D. Program and achieve a GPA of 3.5 for the 1st year coursework, and make satisfactory progress from the 2nd year onwards;
  • Contribute to the mission of CMMU in various roles, e.g. as a Research Assistant or Teaching Assistant, contributing at least 10 hours per week for 9 terms.

Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Scholarship

CMMU full-time faculty members and Ph.D. students can also together apply for a Royal Golden Jubilee (RGJ) Ph.D. Scholarship Program, awarded by the Thailand Research Fund (TRF).

The main requirements for receiving the scholarship are:
  • able to pursue full-time doctoral studies in Thailand (3-5 years),
  • under 40 years of age,
  • has a research publication or presentation at a scientific meeting with English abstract,
  • good academic performance (GPA) and English score (TOEFL, or IELTS).
The RGJ scholarship is available for Thai nationals, and there is also a separate RGJ –ASEAN scholarship for students from ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Brunei).
