STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

The mission of the Ph.D. programs is to enable our graduates to create new knowledge at the international level with their research in the areas of management and sustainable leadership. On this page we highlight and honor the achievements of our graduates (45 doctors with a Ph.D. in Management degree, or Ph.D. in Sustainable Leadership degree), and our current Ph.D. students.

CMMU Ph.D. students and graduates have published 112 articles in international academic journals in the period 2009-2023. Further, 94% of these articles are in the Scopus citation database, so that their impact can be tracked. Importantly, 65% of our students’ publications were in journals ranked in the top half of their field, in quartiles Q1 and Q2 of the Scimago journal ranking.

Dissertation awards

The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) has awarded the dissertation of three CMMU Ph.D. graduates in its annual competition, a recognition of our students' original research:

  • 2015, Dr. Suparak Suriyankietkaew

International conference presentations

The CMMU Ph.D. program encourages students to present their work at international conferences, to receive feedback on their work and to meet researchers working in the same field globally. Each student can receive up to 80,000 Thai baht of travel support for this purpose. Our students are regularly accepted to present their work at prestigious international academic conferences. Here are some recent examples:
  • CMMU Ph.D. Candidate Mengting Su presented her research at the prestigious 83rd annual meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM) meeting, in Boston, USA, August 2023.
  • CMMU Ph.D. Candidate Pawat Tansurat presented his research at PICMET 2024, the Portland International Conference on Management of Engineering and Technology, organized by Portland State University, U.S., August 2024.
