P. 6
For the excellence of research, CMMU had achieved a number of outstanding academic researches admired in
the international level. Meanwhile, we had reiterated our intention to evolve new academic researches deemed beneficial
to the Thai society. In 2017, we successfully published 36 research articles in various academic journals, where 31 articles
were listed on the database of SCImago Journal Rank or SJR. A number of CMMU’s academic researches, including
corporate innovation, organizational sustainability, emerging trends in consumer behavior, and behavioral finance,
could directly respond to social interests.
To achieve the excellence of academic services in 2017, we introduced a total of 46 training programs to several
public and private organizations in the country, increased from 41 training programs launched in 2016. The training
programs were joined by 1,329 participants, where most of them were mid-to-senior level executives. In the same year,
we also organized an executive training program in collaboration with foreign partners. One of the most remarkable
programs was named “Strategy and Innovation for Business in Asia”, which had been cooperated by MIT Sloan School
of Management from the US. Held for the sixth consecutive year, this knowledge-based program provided all
participants with a great opportunity to learn new things towards business innovation and listen to highly-rated senior
executives’ sharing of personal experiences. CMMU had also launched a few academic counseling service projects,
as part of the goal to demonstrate its leadership of academic service excellence.
CMMU remained proactive in promoting its internationalization by cooperating with partner universities in Asia,
Europe, and the US. In 2017, in collaboration with Macquarie University from Australia, we successfully introduced a
dual degree program, where graduated students would receive two degrees provided by CMMU and the Australian
university. Furthermore, the number of exchange students, totaling 96, was increased compared with that in year 2016.
And also, we had recognized the importance of complying with the AACSB accreditation standards, expecting to pursue
our continuous improvement of academic programs.
For the excellence of organizational management, CMMU recruited quality personnel as necessary to support its
academic expansion. We encouraged our members to attend various training programs to apply the acquired knowledge
into the development of operations and management. Obviously, 65 training programs have been participated by our
faculty and staff. We also emphasized on communication development to ensure greater acknowledgement of the
general public, particularly the targeted students. The advanced communication strategy not only created a broader
awareness for people in general, but also motivated students to have greater interests in specific study programs prior
to their actual enrollments. Regarding the strength of supportive systems, we had recognized the significance of the
information technology system developed to support digital learning. We further advanced the so-called i-Classroom
system to keep pace with the progress of e-learning. For the performance of fiscal year 2017, CMMU generated gross
revenue of 251.1 million baht in total, unveiling the net amounts of Bt19.0 million before depreciation and Bt8.2 million
after depreciation, an increase of Bt8 million compared to the fiscal year 2016. CMMU possesses total assets of
Bt375.2 million at the end of year 2017.
On behalf of everyone at CMMU, I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their passionate devotion and
never-ending assistance towards everything related to CMMU. I would also like to extend my sincerest appreciation
to professional faculty and hard-working staff members for generating admirable achievements throughout 2017.
Finally, I hope that this Annual Report 2017 would be beneficial to all readers and everyone involved.
