Excellence
Teaching and Learning Management
The College of Management highlights the enhancement of capabilities and competences of
students. We provide learner-based teaching and support this with extra-curricular activities. With
class sizes limited to 30 students, students have an opportunity to exchange ideas with each other
and with their instructors. A limited class size also means that instructors can give their students
almost individual attention. Other important factors which contribute to the development of skills
of students are a flexible and diversified curriculum which addresses students’ needs. At the
College of Management teaching is through a variety of methods including case studies,
simulations, problem-based learning and presentations and seminars for discussion between
students and members of the business community. These features and activities aim to develop
students’ learning and emphasize the importance of lifelong learning.
Apart from recognizing academic excellence, we also
take into account the practical application of
knowledge to business. The transfer of knowledge and
experience from experts in the business sector is an
important conduit for demonstrating the application of
knowledge to practice and the analysis of business
issues.
With regard to teaching assessment, we have channels
for the evaluation of teaching and learning to provide
feedback mechanisms for further development. A key
component of this is students’ satisfaction on the quality
of teaching and other learning opportunities. Moreover,
we continuously operate quality assurance of our
curriculum to ensure that it meets compliance with the
standards defined by the Commission on Higher
Education.
In addition to the development of teaching management, we actively pursue the enhancement
of students’ potentials in the matter of physical well-being, intelligence, emotion, and
socialization. We also instill morality, ethics, values, and organization culture into students through
teaching and learning process, extracurricular activities and experience development projects.
