Professor Philip Halinger

Program Director

Philip Hallinger, Director of the PhD Program in Sustainable Leadership, received his Ed.D. in Administration and Policy analysis from Stanford University (USA). He has served as a PhD Program faculty member and mentored more than 30 doctoral graduates at universities in the USA, Hong Kong and Thailand. Professor Hallinger has published more than 200 journal articles included studies conducted in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China. Professor Hallinger specializes in leadership, organizational change and leadership development, both in general and in relation to sustainable development. His recent publications include research on leadership and capacity building, as well as reviews of research on sustainable leadership and on education for sustainable development.

Associate Professor Sooksan Kantabutra

Sooksan Kantabutra completed his Ph.D. in strategy & leadership at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Macquarie University in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Prior to joining CMMU in 2002, Dr. Kantabutra worked with a global consulting firm where he advised multinational corporations on leadership and change for several years, after graduating with an MBA from Bentley University in Greater Boston, Massachusetts, the USA. Having been educated in three continents and worked in a multinational corporate setting, Dr. Kantabutra brings a global perspective and experience into his research, teaching and consulting at CMMU. Globally, Dr. Kantabutra has been identified as a top scholar in the corporate sustainability field (Sciencedirect, MDPI).

Associate Professor Vichita Ractham

Vichita Ractham primary research interests include Social Interaction in Teamwork, Transactive Memory in Knowledge Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, and E-Learning. Her research has appeared in Journal of American Society for Information Science and Technology (JASIST), Computer in Human Behavior, as well as numerous international, national and regional conference proceedings. She has been a guest speaker and panel discussion in the area of Teamwork and Leadership, Reorganizing IT for Competitiveness, IT in Education, and The Cooperation among Asian-Pacific Countries for IT Technology and Education at many prestigious institutions. She also serves on the Editorial Board of Information & Management Journal.

Professor Roy Kouwenberg

Roy Kouwenberg is Associate Professor and Director of the Ph.D. Program at Mahidol University, College of Management, in Bangkok. Roy received his Ph.D. in Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands and holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics from Erasmus. He is a CFA charterholder. Prior to joining CMMU, Roy held positions as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada, as quantitative researcher at AEGON Asset Management, The Netherlands, and as assistant professor at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He is a visiting researcher at the Erasmus School of Economics, The Netherlands.

Assistant Professor Parisa Rungruang

Parisa Rungruang received her doctorate in Human Resource Management from Monash University, Australia. Her PhD dissertation was on the antecedents of organisational commitment of academics in Thailand. Dr. Rungruang holds Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Birmingham, U.K. and Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information System from Thammasat University with first class honours. Her research interests include employee commitment, organisational justice, perceived organisational support, role stressors, psychological contract, and organisational citizenship behaviour.

Assistant Professor Prattana Punnakitikashem

Prattana Punnakitikashem received her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in 2001 and a Master's degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA in 2003. She completed her Ph.D. in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA in 2007. Her Ph.D. dissertation was on integrated nurse staffing and assignment under uncertainty.

Assistant Professor Randall Shannon

Randall Shannon received his doctorate in Marketing, with a focus on cross-cultural consumer behavior and branding from Thammasat University. Following a career in marketing research at AC Nielsen, he has been teaching in Thailand for more than ten years, typically topics related to marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research, new product development and advertising. Dr. Shannon has published more than thirty papers in international conferences, and has published articles in international journals, such as the Journal of Brand Management and Oxford's European Retail Digest. He has also worked on various consulting projects within Asia for companies such as McKinsey, and Temporal Brand Consulting.

Assistant Professor Siriuhk Rakthin

Sirisuhk Rakthin has been an adjunct lecturer at CMMU since 2002 and currently joined CMMU as a full-time lecturer. She earned her first bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Kasetsart University and her second degree in Laws from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. She received an MBA in Strategic Management and Consulting from MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, she completed an M.S. in Business Research and received a Ph.D. in Marketing from Michigan State University, U.S.A.

Suthep Nimsai, Ph.D.

Suthep Nimsai received his Post-doctoral in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Corvinus Business School, Corvinus Univestiy of Budapest, Hungary and Ph.D. Degree in Food Economics and Marketing from the University of Reading, United Kingdom. Dr. Nimsai has been a visiting professor in European Universities such as Hungary and Germany. He also has conducted a variety of executive training/coaching/guest speaker in the areas of logistics and supply chain management, international business and marketing, ASEAN Logistics, and border trade management.

Assistant Professor Winai Wongsurawat

Winai Wongsurawat is an applied economist whose research interests span the areas of government regulation, investment, entrepreneurship, and business strategy. Prior to joining the College of Management at Mahidol University, he was an assistant professor at the Asian Institute of Technology where he taught master and doctoral-level courses in quantitative analysis, strategic management, macroeconomics and the political economy of Thailand.
