Since I assumed the leadership role at CMMU in February 2021, I have met with many faculty members, staff, students and alumni to get a sense of how they envision CMMU to be as we are moving forward. It has become clear to me that we want to see CMMU to continue to be a leader in management education in Thailand and beyond. Many ideas are gathered by our strategy team on how we can realize such a vision. I would like to take this opportunity to illustrate our progress.
In terms of education, we are still committed to the highest possible quality of management education. As an AACSB accredited school, we continuously improve our programs, leveraging our own strengths and those of Mahidol University. A major initiative regarding our education program is that we are going to introduce a fully online international Master of Management program, following the success of our well-established international Master of Management program. With the international AACSB accreditation, we are allowed to expand our market internationally with the newly introduced online program. We hope we will be able to launch this online program very soon.
As part of Mahidol University, research is core to our culture. As the youngest and smallest business school in Thailand, CMMU’s research performance remains competitive in Thailand and Asia. The recently released Global AD Scientific Index: Rankings of University and Scientists around the world has confirmed our position. Many of our faculty members are ranked among the top-ten, top-fifteen scholars in several areas in Thailand. These placements are due to the long-term, continuing research efforts of our faculty members. So, thanks to all.
In terms of executive development program, we still focus on what we do best: customized corporate training by our top-notch faculty members. Given the Covid-19 pandemic, many of our clients unfortunately stop their training programs. Despite the pandemic, we still continue some executive development programs via an online platform with our corporate clients. Our future directions are to offer online executive development programs and expand our consulting services, utilizing our expert faculty members. Here, we indeed welcome engagement from our current students and alumni who may consider using our services or recommending our services to companies seeking high-quality executive development programs.
As the first insider Dean of CMMU, I am very proud of the role that we play in shaping the future generations of corporate leaders every day. At CMMU, we rise as ONE, meaning people and CMMU are blended as one in this rapidly dynamic world. We will nurture harmony, integrity, adaptability as well as unity for our ONE CMMU philosophy. With the support of faculty members, staff, current students and alumni, we see ourselves well-positioned to become an internationally recognized business school in Asia. Happy New Year 2022.
