Launching a new CMMU teaching case on sustainable development

The overarching goal of sustainable development is sustainable well-being for all, which can be achieved through creating a balance among the four development domains of culture, society, environment and economy. Such a balance will not be achieved simply by adopting the SDGs and/or ESG schemes. The new CMMU teaching case by Krittawit Krittayaruangroj and Suparak Suriyankietkaew presents a systematic approach to such a balanced development.

The new CMMU teaching case features a successful community development via tourism at Baan Khoa Lak, a southern rural community of Thailand. The case shows precisely how to create a balance among the four development domains and how to measure sustainability success.

Krittawit Krittayaruangroj is a Thailand Sustainable Development Foundation (TSDF) Doctoral Research Fellow at CMMU and Suparak Suriyankietkaew is an associate professor of management focusing on sustainable leadership at CMMU.
