ACSDSD is in initial consultation with the ASEAN Secreatariat on areas of cooperation to advance for sustainability, especially in the region. There will be partnership to co-organise a number of regional dialogue as well as capacity building activities within ASEAN entities.

Asia Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation

Since its official operation in November 2019, ACSDSD has been working with the Asia Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation in two disciplines.

• Support for capacity building opportunities on development cooperation and short-term fellowships/visits to development institutions and research centers for staff of ACSDSD and other pertinent ASEAN bodies, fellowships, and technical support

The European Union

On 10 February 2020, the European Union has formally announced a partnership with the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) at the second ASEAN-EU Dialogue on Sustainable Development: Towards Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals convened in Brussels. The meeting brought together senior representatives and experts of the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and of the European Union (EU), the European Commission and the ASEAN Secretariat. Following the announcement, ACSDSD is working with the EU on development priorities to enhance cooperation within ASEAN countries.

ACSDSD is scheduled to organize a regional forum titled “Forum on SDG 12 on Sustainable Production and Consumption and Business and Human Rights: An ASEAN-Swiss Peer-Learning Event in December 2020.

Others

ACSDSD has been exploring possibilities of development cooperation with embassies in Bangkok such as Italy and Russia. Pending the Covid-19 outbreak situation, we hope to be able to come up with joint activities in the near future.
